Job Title: Physiotherapist (Grade 3) - Aquatic Therapy and Plagiocephaly

About the Role
This is a Fixed Term, Part Time position to cover Parental Leave for 10 months at 60.8 hours/0.8 FTE per fortnight within the Physiotherapy Department.
You will be responsible for leading the Aquatic Therapy service within the Physiotherapy Department as well as working in the primary contact, physiotherapist-led Plagiocephaly Assessment clinic. As well as providing clinical services in these areas, you will support and train other staff to work in these specialty areas.
Classification for this position will range from VB7 - VC1 (base salary $104,135 to $118,981 FTE per annum, plus superannuation).
What youll achieve:
- Deliver excellent evidence-based practice physiotherapy assessments and interventions, particularly in the areas of aquatic therapy and plagiocephaly
- Be a source of clinical expertise, advocacy and guidance within the clinical stream, across the department and within the broader multidisciplinary team
- Have a flexible and adaptable approach to functioning in a team environment that enhances the teams performance to ensure ongoing excellence in service delivery and teamwork
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure their understanding and that their needs and views are included in plans and actions
- Oversee the Allied Health Assistant workforce within the Physiotherapy Department, including provision of clinical supervision and leave management
Your skills and experience:
- Hold a Physiotherapy qualification from an accredited course/university
- Registered to practice as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the area of aquatic physiotherapy
- Experience working in an actue teritary hospital and/or acute paediatric setting
