A high-profile Federal Government department is looking to engage an experienced Personnel Security Advisor to play a crucial role in developing and implementing personnel security policies and procedures based on the PSPF. Youll be responsible for supporting the implementation of the departments Personnel security program. You will be responsible for identifying and escalating personnel security risks and concerns. The successful Personnel Security Advisor will be offered an initial 12 month contract with the view to extended for a further 12 months and receive a rewarding hourly rate.

The successful Personnel Security Advisor will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Implement and write personnel security policies and procedures based on the PSPF, ensuring full compliance.

• Process and manage security vetting applications in line with relevant policies and procedures.

• Liaise with applicants, internal stakeholders, and external agencies to gather and verify necessary information.

• Manage the security inbox and undertake documentation, case management and filing.

• Support the organisations protective security needs, including access control, identity management, and incident response protocols.

• Provide guidance and advice on security vetting procedures and policy updates.

The successful Personnel Security Advisor will have experience in the following:

• Expertise in policy writing based on the PSPF and personnel Security policies.

• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of discretion.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
