Position Purpose

The Monitor works as part of the production team. The purpose of this role is to support the day-to-day functions of the production and court services. 

Core objectives and tasks of the role include:

• Court monitoring - operating, monitoring and recording of court and other hearing events.
• Application of English grammar, punctuation, syntax and an understanding of the legal terminology.
• Meet internal and external client deadlines
• Demonstration of professional values and standards in all interactions

Qualifications:

• Advanced keyboard skills (Microsoft Word).
• Basic technical IT troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge and application of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax skills.
• National Police Clearance will be required for all VIQ roles.
• Current Drivers Licence

Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role (preferred) 

Knowledge, skills, and competencies

• Timely completion of information/glossaries/recordings supplied using Auscripts systems.
• Maintain quality, accuracy, and timeliness of output and productivity.
• Digital literacy: including using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Customer service focused:
