About the role As the Field Officer, you will - Provide guidance to employers, schools, training providers, and community organizations on VET programs, apprenticeships, traineeships, and workforce development initiatives. - Actively promote the benefits of training, skills development, and VET pathways to increase participation and completion rates across Queensland. - Support the planning and execution of regional training and workforce initiatives to create employment opportunities and address skills gaps. - Monitor stakeholder performance, provide education, and support capacity-building efforts to enhance training outcomes. - Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen Queenslands vocational education and training system. - Contribute to key projects, support initiatives like the Queensland Training Awards, and engage in public speaking and presentations to promote training opportunities. What we are looking for The position requires an applicant who can: - Demonstrate knowledge of (or the ability to quickly learn) Queenslands vocational education and training system, workforce development issues, and departmental programs. - Has ability to research, collect and analyse data, investigate issues, manage projects, and make informed decisions to achieve regional objectives - Maintain a principled approach to working with colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring fairness, professionalism, and high-quality advice. - Deliver accurate, timely work while actively contributing to team and regional goals. - Engage with stakeholders, manage conflict, negotiate, problem-solve, and confidently present information both verbally and in writing.
