This newly created role will see you shape and lead the Line 2 Technology Risk function, influencing decision-making at the highest levels across the enterprise.📌 Key Highlights:Strategic, business-wide mandateRegular engagement with CIO, COO, and senior leadershipHigh visibility + people leadershipBased in Sydney (Australian Citizenship required)🔍 About the Position:- As the Head of Line 2 Technology Risk, youll provide independent oversight and assurance over Line 1 activities across cyber security, IT operations, data governance, and third-party risk. - Your insights and leadership will directly impact the businesss ability to identify and manage technology risk proactively and strategically.- Provide independent oversight and challenge of cyber, technology, and data risk activities across Line 1- Lead and execute Line 2 assurance activities (e.g., thematic reviews, deep dives)- Advise on design and effectiveness of controls (cyber security, IT operations, data governance, third-party risk)- Monitor compliance with APRA CPS 234 and drive alignment with CPS 230- Actively engage with C-suite stakeholders to influence risk-aware decisions- Drive uplift of risk capability and culture across tech and data domains- Lead, mentor, and grow a small team of high-performing risk professionals👤 About YouWere seeking a strategic, curious, and forward-thinking leader who thrives in dynamic environments.A Risk or Audit background with strong Technology Risk knowledgeOR a technical career path (e.g., Architect, Systems Engineer, Analyst) now moving into—or currently in—Technology Risk (Line 1 or 2)Professionals at Associate Director or Director level in Consulting or from Professional Services in Technology Risk are also strongly encouraged to applyWhat sets you apart:Strong grasp of regulatory frameworks (CPS 234, CPS 230)Ability to shift from reactive reporting to proactive, strategic foresightProven leadership and stakeholder engagement skillsAdaptive, curious mindset with a passion for excellenceFor a confidential discussion, contact Tania Barnard on ******@ethosbc.com.au or call 0411 018 ***.
