Earthworks Engineering Surveyor

DIDO Earthworks Engineering Surveyor - Ranger Rehabilitation Project (Monday to Friday, Darwin-Based) Lead local surveying efforts on a landmark environmental restoration project. QH & M Birt Pty Ltd is currently working on the Ranger Rehabilitation Project, located approximately 260 km east of Darwin. As the principal contractor for the Bulk Earthworks component of this long-term restoration initiative, were proud to contribute to one of the most significant mine rehabilitation efforts in Australia. The project commenced in January and is expected to run for approximately three years.

To support this critical work, were seeking experienced and capable professionals, with a strong preference for candidates based in Darwin and surrounding areas. We are committed to supporting the local community and keeping economic benefits in the region.    The Role - Surveyor (Darwin-Based, Ranger Site): This is a key role in the success of the project, ideal for a capable surveyor looking for a Monday to Friday position based locally in the Northern Territory. Youll be responsible for:

• Leading field survey work and construction set-outs.
• Performing surface modelling and updating design surfaces.
• Conducting regular drone flights for conformance, volume tracking, and reporting.
• Maintaining GPS machine control files and supporting a GPS-enabled plant fleet.
• Liaising with site supervisors, engineers, and remote surveyors to deliver accurate and timely survey support.

While supported by a broader survey team remotely, you will act as the lead surveyor on-site, managing daily survey operations independently and proactively.    What Youll Bring:

• Were open to considering all candidates; however, a minimum of a Certificate IV in Spatial Science is a strong starting point.
• Strong experience in civil or mining project environments.
• White Card (Construction Induction).
• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining clear communication with site and support teams.
• Highly desirable:
• Experience with Trimble GPS/Total Stations
• 12d Model and/or Trimble Business Center
• REPL (Remote Pilot Licence) and AROC (Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate) for drone operations
