Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director, ICT to lead our technology strategy, operations, and digital transformation. This is a senior leadership position that reports directly to the COO and works closely with our Executive and Board.

Youll be responsible for driving our end-to-end ICT roadmap, including cybersecurity, systems improvement, governance, cloud architecture, and project delivery — while building internal capability and strengthening vendor relationships.

This is a high-impact role with the scope to shape how technology supports community outcomes, operational effectiveness, and cultural integrity. If youre strategic but hands-on, and you want to lead meaningful tech initiatives in a purpose-driven organisation — this might be your next step.

Note: If based in Perth, travel to Karratha will be required.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Lead and own the PKKP ICT strategy (1, 3, and 10-year views), aligning it with broader business goals

• Oversee core ICT platforms including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, cybersecurity and infrastructure

• Deliver major transformation projects — including automation, cloud transitions, and governance uplift

• Implement cybersecurity frameworks and lead risk assessments and compliance reviews

• Lead internal capability building and provide mentoring to ICT team members

• Manage vendors, contracts, and licensing, ensuring delivery value and alignment with strategic needs

• Develop and implement ICT governance structures, policies, and budget planning

• Oversee the ongoing optimisation of document management systems and user access controls

• Provide regular reports and strategic advice to the Executive Leadership Team and Board

• Champion cultural data privacy, business continuity, and long-term systems integrity

About You

We are looking for a senior ICT leader who brings a mix of big-picture vision and grounded, operational delivery. Youre someone who gets enterprise systems but also understands how to lead change in a community-focused, culturally sensitive setting.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• 10+ years experience in ICT leadership roles, with operational and strategic focus

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity frameworks

• Demonstrated success delivering digital transformation projects at scale

• High-level vendor and stakeholder management skills

• Experience with IT governance, budget oversight, and system optimisation

• Strong people leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Desirable:

• Experience in not-for-profit, Aboriginal organisations, or regional community contexts

• Certifications in ITIL, Microsoft, CompTIA, or similar

• Understanding of culturally sensitive data and community-based governance
