The key duties of the position include:This position sits within the Sourcing Platforms team and is part of the Digital Sourcing Branch. The Delivery Manager is responsible for leading agile delivery across the BuyICT platform, supporting digital transformation initiatives and ensuring timely, user-focused outcomes across product and platform development.
The team is seeking an experienced and outcomes-driven Delivery Manager who can effectively manage competing priorities, build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams, and drive continuous improvement. Working closely with the Product Manager and Director of Sourcing Platforms, the Delivery Manager will guide agile practices, maintain delivery momentum, and ensure alignment between delivery work, strategic priorities, and user needs. The role requires sound judgement, strategic thinking, and a collaborative leadership style that builds team capability and supports high-quality government service delivery.
Please note: This role may require interstate travel from time to time.
Key duties
- Lead and coordinate delivery activities.
- Plan and oversee the delivery of digital initiatives across the BuyICT platform.
- Align delivery activities with strategic objectives, manage resources effectively, and adapt plans to meet emerging priorities.
- Identify and address risks, impediments and external dependencies. Proactively resolve delivery challenges through collaboration and problem-solving.
- Embed agile ways of working across the section. Facilitate sprint ceremonies, promote team learning, and mentor staff to build capability and ownership of delivery practices.
- Foster trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Clearly communicate priorities, progress and expectations to ensure alignment, manage expectations, and build support for delivery outcomes.
- Track delivery metrics, support a positive and inclusive team environment, and implement feedback mechanisms that drive improvement in team wellbeing, performance, and cohesion.
- Maintain transparency through accurate and timely reporting of project status, issues, and risks. Contribute to program governance, risk management, and strategic delivery planning.
- Manage contractor onboarding and performance, including budgeting, timesheets and invoice reconciliation. Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure compliance and timely delivery of resourcing needs.
Security Clearance level required: Baseline (or ability to obtain and maintain).
