AP Officer & AR Officer

An un-surpassing opportunity for an experienced AP and an experienced AR officer to join a leading business in Melbourne CBD.

Responsibilities:

AP Officer

  • End-to-end processing and maintaining supplier transactions with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal departments to ensure accuracy and seamless transactions.
  • Manage vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliation processes.
  • Handle inventory purchase orders and receipted goods.
  • Prepare vendor ageing accounts, identify any discrepancies, and report accordingly.
  • Maintain Suppliers database in the system.
  • Maintenance of bank, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Monthly credit card reconciliations and journals for the group and management.
  • Monthly expense claims checking and payment processing.
  • Work on projects to ensure store builds are reconciled and align to the contract.
  • Assist in preparing cashflow forecast, budgets and analysis.
  • Assist in Month-end and Year-end processes.
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks as requested by management.

AR Officer

  • End-to-end processing of the Accounts Receivable function.
  • Reconciling trading incoming and cash receipts to invoices and bank on daily basis.
  • Petty cash reconciliation.
  • Preparing monthly sales report.
  • Preparing aged receivables reporting and following up on overdue invoices.
  • Creating customer credit notes and distributing customer statements.
  • Supporting month-end closing by providing necessary reporting.
  • Assist in preparing cashflow forecast, budgets and analysis.
  • Assist in Month-end and Year-end processes.
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks as requested by management.

About you:   

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or a Finance-related discipline
  • 2+ years finance experience preferred
  • Experience in retail or hospitality is an advantage
  • CPA/CA qualified or commenced to achieve the qualification will be an advantage
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiatives
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
  • Meticulous, high attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong work ethics
