Accounts Receivable Assistant

Join Wesco Anixter, a leading distributor of electronic security products and solutions, and play a key role in supporting our finance team.

What Youll Do:

Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, you will support key finance functions and customer interactions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing new account applications

  • Sending invoices and statements

  • Maintaining and updating AR records and files

  • Investigating and resolving irregularities and customer enquiries

  • Posting customer payments via EFT, cheque, and credit card

  • Managing inbound payment-related customer calls

  • Assisting the sales team with AR queries, reports, and documentation

  • Performing general administration tasks as needed

  • General Ad-hoc administration duties 

What Were Looking For:

Were seeking someone who is not only reliable and detail-oriented, but also thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Ideally, youll have:

  • 1-3 years experience in accounts receivable or a similar admin role

  • Confidence making high-volume phone calls

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial records management
