Account Manager
About the RoleAt Optus, were driven by the power of connection. As an Account Manager, youll play a vital role in both managing a portfolio of existing corporate customers and securing new business opportunities. Working within the telecommunications space, youll be responsible for managing a designated territory and delivering tailored solutions to complex customer needs.
This is more than just a sales role — its an opportunity to build strategic relationships with senior executives, including CIOs, CFOs, and CEOs, and make a meaningful impact on their business through Optus technology and services.
The Day to Day
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing corporate customers.
- Identify and win new business within your designated territory.
- Build and maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders.
- Deliver complex product and service solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Develop and execute strategic account and opportunity plans.
- Drive results across key metrics including billed revenue, profitability, share of wallet, and customer satisfaction.
About YouYoure a results-driven professional with a proven track record in business-to-business sales, ideally within the corporate sector. Youre comfortable navigating large organisations and engaging senior stakeholders to understand and solve complex business challenges.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in B2B sales, ideally in the corporate sector.
- Previous work experience in a corporate environment (sales, customer service, marketing, technical, or finance roles).
- Proven ability to sell technical products and complex business solutions using a consultative approach.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to engage at executive levels (CIO, CFO, CEO).
- Experience in account planning, opportunity development, and business case creation.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Self-disciplined with strong planning and administration capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Tertiary qualifications in business are well regarded but not essential
- Telecommunications or IT industry experience is advantageous.
