Warehouse/Forklift Operator - PM Shift

About the Role: Having been in operation for over 50 years, our client is an expert in their field, providing printing, labels and flexible packaging options to a variety of commercial businesses. Their professionalism, high quality workmanship and excellent customer service in this time, has seen them now grow to become one of Asia Pacifics leading label manufacturers.      A newly created position is now available for an experienced Forklift Operator/Warehouse Assistant who has excellent problem solving skills, is highly motivated and has an excellent attention to detail. This is an autonomous role, where you will be responsible for managing the afternoon/evening warehouse pick pack duties, issuing of raw materials to the print presses, dispatching outward goods and receipting inwards goods from internal operations.

This role will suit someone who has previous experience in a warehouse and dispatch role and can demonstrate their skills and ability using a high reach forklift. In addition you will need to have a stable work history and above all, be passionate about the performance and quality of your work.      *Please note; Training and Induction for this role will take place on day shift and will be for a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks. This will be paid on day shift rates.  Benefits:

Duties:

• Timely picking and issuing of raw materials to jobs and print presses, adhering to labelling and work ticket specifications.
• Prioritise orders based on urgency and customer requirements.
• Pallet wrapping and preparing goods for dispatch
• Stock put aways and assisting with stocktakes and cyclical counts
• Ensure accuracy of dispatch records and logs
• Any other tasks as directed by the Warehouse and Dispatch Team Leader
• Maintain a tidy, clean warehouse, ensuring all goods are allocated and stored correctly
• Adhere to company WH&S, manual handling and PPE policies and procedures

Skills and Experience:

• Min 3 years demonstrated experience in a warehousing/forklift role
• Current Forklift licence, with 3 plus years of recent experience
• Experience in the printing and/or label manufacturing industry an advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible team player, who has the ability to work autonomously and responsibly
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items correctly
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proven ability to adapt and learn quickly
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• A high level of honesty and integrity
• Intermediate computer literacy in MS Office and experience with SAP systems for inventory, pick, packing and despatch
• High respect for workplace health & safety
• This position is not suitable for Holiday or Sponsorship Visas. You will need to be residing in Brisbane and have full AU working rights.
