Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Telecommunications Field Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimisation of telecommunications systems and network infrastructure. This role requires strong technical capability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively across field and operational environments. Key Responsibilities includes but not limited to: • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications systems, network equipment, and communication infrastructure. • Diagnose and resolve faults affecting telecommunications network performance, connectivity, and system reliability. • Support the integration of telecommunications systems with computer hardware, software, databases, and operating systems. • Monitor and assess the performance of telecommunications networks and recommend improvements to optimise efficiency and reliability. • Assist in the planning and implementation of telecommunications network infrastructure and customer access solutions. • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, service records, equipment inventories, and compliance reports. • Conduct testing, commissioning, and performance verification of telecommunications equipment and systems. • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, service providers, and clients regarding technical requirements and project delivery. • Ensure all telecommunications works are completed in accordance with industry standards, safety requirements, and company procedures. • Provide technical support and operational assistance for network upgrades, repairs, and maintenance activities. Qualifications: • Relevant qualification in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. • Minimum 1 year experience in a Telecommunications Field Engineer or similar role preferred. Skills & Requirements: • Proven experience in telecommunications network installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. • Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, network infrastructure, and communication technologies. • Experience working with network equipment, radio communication systems, fibre, wireless, or related technologies. • Ability to interpret technical drawings, network diagrams, and engineering specifications. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose technical faults efficiently. • Excellent communication and organisational skills. • Knowledge of telecommunications standards, safety practices, and network protocols.
