Project Engineer - Service
Are you an experienced and dedicated Project Engineer with a passion for large-scale mobile equipment? We are working on an exciting new opportunity for a skilled Project Engineer - Service, to join our clients engineering team in Western Sydney. Our client is a market leading manufacturer of innovative mobile equipment solutions for a diverse range of industries.
Position Overview:
As the Project Engineer - Service, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of life cycle enhancement projects, including conducting investigations, scoping, design/engineering works, as well as project managing the execution of lifecycle enhancement projects, which includes machine overhauls, upgrades and retrofits.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing engineering design and services, ensuring designs meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Provide technical advice and design support to internal stakeholders on all mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic matters.
- Coordinate with service and production teams to allocate and manage resources, ensuring all work is completed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for pre-delivery commissioning, testing, inspection and compliance verification of new and overhauled machines, ensuring machines are manufactured in compliance with customer specifications and agreed scope of works.
- Supporting the Service Managers in providing technical advice and service to customers during post delivery commissioning and operational service of machines as required.
- Provide technical support and service to customers.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience in mobile equipment engineering, including design, maintenance, overhauls, as well as commissioning and testing of heavy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of design and systems engineering processes, with a particular focus on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical components and systems.
- Strong knowledge of design and systems engineering processes.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong field work skills, ensuring engineering work is completed in a safe manner in a range of working environments, including remote locations.
