About the Position

Are you passionate about supporting emerging talent and making a meaningful impact in peoples careers? Were looking for a motivated and people-focused leader to bring our refreshed Graduate Program to life—someone who can guide, support, and grow the next generation of crisis support professionals.

The program has recently been reviewed and redesigned, and were now excited to find the right person to lead its rollout and implementation. With the structure and content already in place, this role focuses on ensuring a high-quality experience for graduates, fostering professional development, and creating a safe, inclusive, and high-performing learning environment.

Youll take the lead in supporting graduate participants through coaching, mentoring, and structured development, while also coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth delivery and agile decision-making. Your calm, constructive leadership—especially in high-pressure situations—will help graduates build confidence, resilience, and capability in their roles.

Youll bring at least three years of strong leadership experience, with the ability to manage risk, make sound decisions under pressure, and confidently guide teams through challenging situations. This position requires strong communication skills, a solid background in crisis support or related human services, and the ability to build collaborative relationships that support operational goals and continuous improvement.

Flexibility in working hours is essential, as the role will require availability across both daytime and evening shifts to support the graduate workforce operating in a 24/7 environment.

Youll also bring strong digital literacy, experience managing remote teams across 24/7 rosters, and a commitment to continuous improvement. An ability to deliver constructive feedback and maintain a focus on team wellbeing will make you a valued and trusted leader in this space.

If youre ready to take on a meaningful leadership role—supporting people at the start of their careers and strengthening the future of crisis support—wed love to hear from you.

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership role within crisis support, mental health, or related human services fields.
  • Demonstrated high level of professional ability, with the capacity to lead calmly and constructively in emergency and high-pressure situations.
  • Proven competency in crisis support, with well-developed leadership and communication skills to lead and influence others effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support service delivery, operational goals, and continuous improvement.
  • Sound judgment and leadership in conducting risk assessments, evaluating situations, minimising risk, and making informed decisions under pressure.
  • Competent in using computers and digital systems, including email, internet browsers, data entry platforms, and client management systems.
  • Skilled in leading structured debriefings, supporting the emotional and professional well-being of team members.
  • Ability to deliver timely, respectful, and constructive feedback to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Ability to manage a remote workforce across a 24/7 roster

As a Not for Profit (NFP) organisation, we will offer:

•  The opportunity to make this role your own - we love creativity and passion! •  Salary packaging benefits •  Knowledge that you will be part of a team helping to make a difference to your community.

Sound interesting…we would love to hear from you! Applications close on Sunday 20th July 2025.
