ACCIONA Energía is seeking an experienced and safety‑focused HV Technician to join our multi‑skilled MacIntyre Wind Farm Operations and Maintenance Team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of the wind farm’s Balance of Plant (BOP) infrastructure, including substations, high‑voltage reticulation systems, communication networks, civil works, and auxiliary services. The role will be based at MacIntyre Wind Farm.

Job Description

• Actively engage in ACCIONA’s Health & Safety practices.
• Take personal responsibility for maintaining a safe work environment.
• Support and encourage colleagues in upholding site safety standards.

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all BOP infrastructure.
• Conduct HV & substation inspections, repairs, and operational manoeuvres.
• Perform inspections and maintenance of civil infrastructure, including roads and site services.
• Conduct WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) inspections and minor works where required.
• Support daily operations to ensure the facility meets ACCIONA’s business and performance objectives.
• Participate in shutdown planning, project execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with the Central Support team on technical trials and procedural improvements.

• Work collaboratively within a multi‑skilled Maintenance Team.
• Participate in team decision‑making and onsite coordination.
• Ensure full compliance with HSE, Quality, and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Oversee and monitor contractor activity to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Conduct contractor audits to confirm deliverables meet required standards.

• Maintain accurate daily reporting to support Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Enter data into CMMS platforms including Maximo, WMS, and HSEQ systems.
• Assist in preparing work plans, risk assessments, job instructions, procedures, and ITPs.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Appropriate Trade Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical Disciplines other.
• Electrical trade must or be able to hold a valid QLD “A Grade” Electrical License (beneficial)
• Minimum 3 to 5 years post trade qualifications.
• Basic computer skills and familiar with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Current driver license (Manual Vehicle).
• Capacity to undertake responsibilities in accordance with the ACCIONA Energía Safety Management System.
• Capacity to travel to various Wind Farms across Australia.
• Ability to maintain qualifications relevant to the industry, including:
• Electrical or Mechanical trade certificate
• First Aid Level 2
• Working at Heights
• HV Operator under ACCIONA Energía Work Permitting system.
• Privileged Access Workers (PAW's) are required to obtain satisfactory results from Acciona's Suitability Assessment prior to commencement, this forms part of our standard pre‑employment checks.
