About the role
Every day our Cleansing Operations team prides ourselves on keeping the City’s roads, footpaths, and laneways clean and tidy.
As a Cleansing Crew Member will be working outdoors partaking in manual labour on foot to keep our City clean. To do this you will need to be physically fit and able to operate and drive some of our smaller cleansing vehicles. We hope you will have a clean Class C drivers licence and a proven driving record.
We are seeking self‑motivated, dedicated people who take pride in their work and able to complete physically demanding tasks around Sydney.
To work for the team, you must:
Be physically fit and able to lift and bend easily.
Demonstrated experience in manual labouring.
Hold a current Class C drivers’ licence with a clean record.
Be available to work weekday shifts, some weekends and public holidays.
The successful candidates will be committed team players who enjoy working outdoors and are able to communicate well with others.

This role has the option of a rostered day off every two weeks, known as a 9‑day fortnight.
The recommended applicant must complete a pre‑employment health declaration and medical assessment.
