What you’ll be doing

As an Administrative Officer, you will provide high‑quality administrative and reception support across all hospital departments, ensuring patient care and service delivery are never compromised by staff leave or changing priorities.

  • Provide professional, courteous reception services to patients, families and staff
  • Manage patient enquiries, admissions, discharges and transfers using electronic systems
  • Process clinical and administrative documentation accurately and on time
  • Support wards, outpatient clinics, ambulatory care and support services as required
  • Prepare reports, manage mail, and complete a wide range of general administrative tasks

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated experience in an administrative role.
  2. Demonstrated experience in word processing, data entry Microsoft Office Suite.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written and the ability to liaise effectively with senior personnel, departmental managers, staff and visitors.
  4. Capacity to work flexibly and efficiently with a multidisciplinary team with superior customer service skills.
  5. Demonstrated organisational skills with ability to manage several projects concurrently.
  6. Intermediate knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
  7. Ability to work 24 hours 7‑day rotating roster.
