About the role:

This is a casual position approx. 12 hours per week, Mon, Tue & Wed availability required 8am to 12pm during the school terms, located at Coffs Harbour NSW. Starting base hourly rate of $35.12 plus 25% casual loading.

About the opportunity:

We are seeking a reliable and community-focused Bus Driver to join our Uniting Transport Services team. In this role, you will provide safe, respectful and comfortable transport for clients and community members between their homes, Uniting locations and community outings.

You will play an important role in supporting client wellbeing, safety and dignity while representing Uniting in a professional and compassionate manner.

  • Safely transport clients between residences, Uniting services and community activities
  • Assist clients to enter and exit the bus and ensure safety restraints are correctly used
  • Monitor and support the welfare and safety of clients while travelling
  • Maintain daily vehicle logs and complete required documentation
  • Follow emergency procedures and WHS requirements at all times
  • Actively contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive workplace
  • Uphold Uniting’s values, Code of Conduct and ethical standards
  • Report incidents, hazards or concerns promptly
  • Participate in compulsory training and ongoing professional development

About You:

You are dependable, safety-focused and enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds. You take pride in your work, communicate well, and can work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence
  • Proven experience and reliability in bus or professional driving
  • Current Working with Children Check and ability to pass a national police check
  • Strong communication skills and a respectful, client-centred approach
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Organised, reliable and professional
