Our client, Hardware Hospitality Operations Pty Ltd t/a Grilled Steak and Seafood Hardware Lane is seeking a Cook to join their team. Duties and Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards. • Assist in planning daily food preparation requirements and production schedules. • Ensure all ingredients and food items are adequately stocked and prepared before service periods. • Prepare and present hot and cold meals, including appetisers, soups, salads, main courses, desserts, and specialty dishes. • Monitor food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control to maintain consistency. • Ensure all food is prepared and stored in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations. • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, storage areas, cool rooms, and equipment. • Receive and inspect deliveries to ensure quality, freshness, and accuracy of supplied goods. • Minimise food wastage through effective stock rotation and inventory management practices. • Assist with stock control and notify management of ordering requirements. • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service periods. • Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment. • Assist in training and supporting junior kitchen staff where required. • Ensure compliance with company policies, food handling procedures, and kitchen sanitation standards. • Perform any other duties related to food preparation and kitchen operations as directed by the Chef or Management. Requirements: • Certificate III level qualification or equivalent in the relevant field. • 3 years of recent experience in a chef role. • Good planning and organisation skills • Good arithmetic skills • Ability to work in a team co-operatively • Keen sense of taste and smell • Ability to remain calm in hectic circumstances
