Vaastu Homes Pty Ltd (Omkar Homes) Position: Wall and Floor Tiler Salary: $80,000 to $85,000 Base Salary excluding Superannuation Hours: Full-Time Work Location: On-site projects throughout Melbourne suburbs and close by regional areas. We need qualified, experienced and reliable Tiler to join our team as an employee. You will be working on several projects ranging from domestic housing to semi commercial project to small repairs. You will be responsible for laying ceramic, clay, slate, marble, glass and other types of tiles on external and internal walls and floors to provide protective and decorative finishes in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The role requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret plans and specifications. Main Tasks: • Examine plans, measurements, and mark surfaces to be tiled. • Prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, adhesives, and other materials. • Waterproof and prime surfaces where required. • Measure and cut tiles using hand or machine tools to fit around obstacles and into awkward spaces. • Mix and apply adhesives to tiles and surfaces. • Lay tiles in accordance with design plans, ensuring accurate spacing and alignment. • Grout tiles and clean surfaces to finish the job. • Repair or replace broken or chipped tiles. • Maintain and clean tools and workspaces. • Follow workplace health and safety practices and procedures at all times. Apply if you have: • Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or equivalent qualification. In absence of formal qualifications, must have at least 3 years verifiable work experience. • Proven experience in wall and floor tiling in residential and/or commercial projects. • Knowledge of current tiling trends and finishes. • Familiarity with a wide range of tile materials, adhesives, grouts, and tools. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. • High level of precision and attention to detail. • Strong physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the job • White Card along with a driver license and a vehicle of your own.
